Here you can choose which contacts will be merged, based on their shared characteristics. In Kentico CMS, merging allows you to create parent objects, i.e. parent contacts, which cover child objects, i.e. contacts merged into the parent contact. This can be useful if there is one user associated with several different contacts.

 

To merge contacts, select a criterion or a set of criteria by checking the respective check boxes (E-mail, Phone, Post address, Birthday, Membership, IP address) and click Show. A list of suitable contacts is offered.

 

To merge all suggested contacts into the currently edited contact click the Merge all button. Or select only some of the contacts and click the Merge selected button. In any event, the Merge collisions dialog window will be opened enabling you to set further parameters of the merge process.
